I have noticed many people or artists I talk withg have a negative attitude towards bar codes. It is almost like they link it to the government or something negative.
The truth of the matter is when you bar code a product, there is an inventory system built in for other investors to see if your product is selling well. This is the kind of the thing that could get you a larger budget for your next CD or movie release. It is also important to find out where the bar code tracks back to if you buy it from someone. Sometimes people will get sneaky and not disclose to you that the bar code you just bought, tracks back to their studio for contact information from investors.
Generally most studios or artists will want credit for their work.I figure all people deserve to know the truth on matters such as the bar code and why it is important.
